Teaching PhilosophyMusic is life enriching. At the end of the day, I want each of my young students to grow into adults who love music. By starting with a goal of enrichment and working backwards, I can decide on the best content and teaching method for each child. Adults may choose to experience music in different ways that bring positivity into their lives. As a teacher, I hope to
encourage this freedom of choice by always validating and uplifting the concept of participation in music in its various forms: listening, performing, and creating. |

As a child of two music educators, I received benefits that not every child does. By the time I was old enough to actively "do" music in school, there was little struggle and mostly enjoyment. Only later did I realize that the early and consistent music training, embedded into my lifestyle, was the key to that success and enjoyment. |
